Internet Site Redesign - In 1999, the company underwent a project to redesign its Internet site, which cost millions of dollars
- The top image on the left represents the redesign, which contains 100 links with little task focus or visual hierarchy
- The site did not meet its hit and retention targets, and satisfaction was low both inside and outside the company

- Jim influenced the Internet site team to hire his team to redesign the site (bottom left)
- Jim’s resource conducted reviews and studies, instrumented the site, and engaged in iterative prototyping for both the IA and the visual treatment

- Focus on user tasks and corporate messaging
- Visually appealing and uncluttered
- This Internet site moved from 25th in its industry to #1, as ranked by independent organizations and user satisfaction
