Design Philosophy

Great products require that we understand users and their goals, and use this understanding to inform our product direction and design. It also requires that we validate our concepts and capture metrics around our solutions.

To oversimplify, UX teams need to follow these steps:

  • Conduct generative user research
  • Generate work process diagrams
  • Create personas and use cases
  • Conduct collaborative design workshops with members of the business to brainstorm, design, validate, and align on the design and product direction.
  • Generate architectural UX specs that become the blueprints for scrum cycles.
  • Generate wireframes, then UX specs for each feature and interaction
  • Prototype key capabilities and evaluate them.

A leader in UX needs to hire the best researchers, designers, and prototypers in the industry, and inspire them to perform the best work of their career. They also need to work with peers to jointly define and deliver on priorities.
